On Saturday 28 March 2026, cadets from No. 88 District of Waimakariri Squadron Air Training Corps joined volunteers at Ashley River Gorge to help mark the new Skyline Track. Working across hilly terrain, they installed orange markers to guide future walkers along the newly formed route.
Their efforts helped make the track safer and more accessible for the community to enjoy.
