After spending the past few months without a permanent home, the North Canterbury Model Railway Club is pleased to announce that it has found new clubrooms at 202A King Street, Rangiora, just behind Wellbeing NC at 200 King Street.
Members are now busy getting their layouts set up and ready to run again. One of the projects underway is extending Abbotsbury, the layout the club takes to model railway shows in Christchurch and elsewhere, to make it easier to operate. Other layouts also need scenery and electrical work, with experienced members happy to teach newcomers these skills.
The club welcomes anyone interested in model railways, whether you're a beginner or an experienced hobbyist.
Meetings are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm at the new clubrooms.
